Dilipsen-Sameersen

Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen 
Dilipsen Sameersen is a reputed duo music composer in a Hindi Film Industry.
After lot of struggle they got huge success in Yashraj films YE DILLAGI. The song oley oley brought them lot of popularity.
 
Another film AAINA also was a huge musical hit. The song goriya re goriya re mera dil chura ke leja beautifully sung by Lataji was the chartbuster.
dil tera hai deewana ayi ayi aiyo from the film Muqabla also brought success to them.
 
Since very long we are not having any film of them... although reason is unknown... we can hope that filled with immense talent and possilbilities.. they both will soon shower their melodious numbers on their fans.

RAJENDRA KRISHNA



Rajendra Krishan Duggal (June 6, 1919 Jalalpur Jattan - Mumbai -1988), also credited as Rajinder Krishan/Kishan Duggal, was an Indian poet, lyricist and screenwriter.

Rajendra Krishan was born in Jalalpur Jattan, district Gujarat (in present day Pakistan). He moved to Shimla in search of employment; his eldest brother Madholal Duggal was already employed there. He was attracted towards poetry during his school days. After completing his education, he worked as a clerk in the municipal office till 1942. He used to participate in the poetry contests organized by newspapers.

In the mid-1940s, Krishan shifted to Mumbai to become a screenwriter. His first screenplay was Janta (1947). His first film as a lyricist was Zanjeer (1947). He was first noted for the script and lyrics of the Motilal-Suraiya starrer Aaj Ki Rat (1948).After the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, Krishan wrote a song Suno Suno Aye Duniyawalon, Bapu Ki Yeh Amar Kahani. The song was sung by Mohammed Rafi and composed by Husnlal Bhagatram, and was a great hit. He also tasted success as a lyricist with the films Badi Bahen (1949) and Lahore (1949).

Rajendra Krishan knew Tamil language and wrote 18 scripts for AVM Studios films. Rajendra Krishna is known for his association with the composer C. Ramchandra. He worked with several other music directors including Shankar-Jaikishan, Madan Mohan, Hemant Kumar, Sajjad Hussain, Sachin Dev Burman, S Mohinder, Chitragupt, Salil Chowdhury, and Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
After his death, HMV brought out an LP containing 12 of his songs.

Rajendra Krishan was considered the richest writer in Hindi cinema. The reason was that he had won a jackpot worth Rs.46,00,000 in horse racing. The sum was considered a huge amount during the late seventies.

Rajendra Krishan won Filmfare Award for best lyricist for the movie Khandan (1965) for the song "Tumhi mere mandir, tumhi meri pooja".

Hariharan



Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback singer in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Telugu movies, an established ghazal singer, and one of the pioneers of Indian fusion music.Hariharan Lernt music from Adithya MzQ. His melody is strongly appreciated by the film fraternity. In 2004, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.


At the start of his career, Hariharan did the concert circuit and also performed on TV. He sang for a number of TV serials (e.g., Junoon). In 1977, he bagged the top prize in the "All India Sur Singaar Competition" and was promptly signed on by the late music director Jaidev to sing for his new Hindi film Gaman (1978). His debut song "Ajeeb Saane He Mujh Par Qarar" in that movie became such a hit that it won him an Uttar Pradesh State Film Award, as well as a National Award nomination.


Hariharan entered the world of Tamil films in 1992 introduced by debutant music director A.R. Rahman with the patriotic song "Thamizha Thamizha" in Maniratnam's film Roja. He was judged best male playback singer in the 1995 Tamil Nadu State Government Film Awards for his soulful rendition of the song "Uyire Uyire" also by music director A.R Rahman in Maniratnam's Bombay (Hariharan sang the song with K.S. Chitra). Hariharan has been one of the most trusted singers of Rahman and has sung many songs for him in long list of movies that includes Muthu, Minsara Kanavu, Jeans, Indian, Mudhalvan, Taal, Rangeela, Indira, Iruvar, Anbe Aaruyire, Kangalal Kaithu Sei, Sivaji, Alaipayuthey, Kannathil Muthamittal, Guru, etc. In 1998, Hariharan won the national award for the best playback singer for the soulful rendition of the song "Mere Dushman Mere Bhai" from the Hindi movie Border, composed by Anu Malik. Hariharan got another National Award for the Marathi song Jiv Rangla from Jogwa, set to tune by Ajay Atul in the year 2009.
He has sung more than 500 Tamil songs and nearly a thousand Hindi songs. He has also sung hundreds of songs in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali languages. He also sang an unusual composition by Ilayaraja for the Malayalam film Katha Thudarunnu.

Hariharan has acted in a Tamil film with Khushboo, Power of Women, and played cameo roles in the Tamil film Boys and the Malayalam film Millennium Stars.

Nikhil-Vinay


Nikhil-Vinay 
Music Directors Nikhil–Vinay have been together since 1991 and have been around for more than a decade. Nikhil has trained in Western Classical while Vinay has learnt Light Classical.

Vinay started his career as a singer years before he met Nikhil. They got their first break in the film 'Pyar Bhara Dil' whose song ‘Banke Kitab Teri’ was quite popular. Since then there has been no looking back.



They composed songs for films like 'Bewafa Sanam', which launched Sonu Nigam as a playback singer. Followed by 'Uff Yeh Mohabbat', 'Chor Aur Chand' and 'Papa The Great'. 'They have also given the background score for 'Aaja Meri Jaan' and 'English Babu Desi Mem'. They have done about 20 films together. They have also composed music for popular serials like 'Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai' and 'Ajeeb Daastan'. However, their true claim to fame was when Sonu Nigam's popular album 'Jaan' became a chart-topper. Jaan's popularity displayed a distinct Nikhil-Vinay style and the importance of soft romantic melodies. Their next project was Sonu Nigam's next album 'Yaad' followed by Anubhav Sinha's film 'Tum Bin'. According to Nikhil-Vinay, after Tum Bin, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and the film-turned-album Kuch Dil Ne Kaha, they have landed up with quite a few offers. The composer-duo were backed by T-Series in a big way and most of their work is for the music company. Going by their track record it is obvious that Nikhil-Vinay have a knack for composing romantic numbers, which are high on melody.


After Nadeem-Shravan and Jatin-Lalit, the latest to join the bandwagon of parting their ways are music director duo Nikhil-Vinay. After been together for15 years now they have decided to call quits. But when asked Nikhil denied the news and said that they’re very much together. But Vinay had something different to say about it. “It's true. I was always reluctant to speak about it. I can say that Nikhil and I are not together anymore,” he said. But he doesn’t give the exact reason for the split. "There's no definite reason. It's just that I got involved in my brother's film and was working separately for around a year. I loved calling the shots. I realised that I could also work alone and do what I wanted to do myself. Apart from that there's nothing more to it. Nikhil is like my brother. We still talk once in a while and I am always there for him. We've had no fights as such. After working for over 15 years, we just drew apart. I respect Nikhil for his work and he is a talented guy.” Inspite of being absent from the movie scene these days they continue to remain a respected name in the music industry.

Nikhil Vinay did a remarkable job. One can have a great freshness of musical notes in their music.
Personally I was so attached to their music and always want them to get the most success... but its quite unfortunate for me as a music lover that they couldnot reach the height they deserved..... but  anyway they have contributed a lot much for us to listen.....

The songs like sapno me aana dil me samaana(chor aur chand), tum bin jiya jaye kaise, koi fariyaad... give us an idea of immense talent they have.

But the fans of them would definitely like them to come back once again and re-join the journey of melody.

MANHAR UDHAS



Manhar Udhas is Hindi and Gujarati language singer. He has given voice for many Hindi movies as playback singer. He is the elder brother of singer Pankaj Udhas and Nirmal Udhas and has worked with Pankaj on albums and Live Shows. Manhar has worked with all the composers of the film world and has lent his voice for almost all the Bollywood heroes. Sung for more than 300 films - Gujarati, Punjabi, Bangali and many others. He, like his brother Pankaj, is well known for singing Ghazals. He is one of the Top 5 'Gazalkars' in the world.

He obtained a B.E. Mechanical Engineerdegree.

Maulvi Saeed Mirza used to teach Manhar Urdu and introduced him to the poetry of Meer Taki Meer and Mirza Ghalib.

SHIV-HARI



Shiv-Hari is the music director duo of Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia. Their career is noted for five major movie scores: Silsila (1981), Vijay (1988), Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), Parampara (1993) and Darr (1993), Sahibaan (1994).

Silsila, Shiv-Hari's first major hit, starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha and had lyrics by Javed Akhtar. Three songs stand out from the rest of the score: the romantic duet Dekha Ek Khwab (sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, and chorus), the poetic Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum (rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, interspersed with dialogue recited by Amitabh Bachchan), and the Holi song Rang Barse (sung by Amitabh Bachchan).

The two other major musical scores done by Shiv-Hari are Chandni and Darr. Chandni featured Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Chudiyan Hai by Lata Mangeshkar and Darr (which starred Sunny Deol, Juhi Chawla, and Shahrukh Khan, was directed by Yash Chopra, and had lyrics by Anand Bakshi) had Jadu Teri Nazar by Udit Narayan.

Bharat Ratna - Bhimsen Joshi... "A TRIBUTE"


In the words of carnatic vocalist Shri Balkrishna Murli... 'Pandit ji has not left us.... he will remain with me in my heart... he will remain with me till my art is alive... May God Bless him'.
Hindustani Vocalist Girija kumari also paid her tribute and said .... 'He is with us in our SURS.. May God give strength to his family'
Prime minister Manmohan singh said that its a great loss to the Nation.
Panditji gave two new raagas... KALASHREE and LALIT BHATIYAAR.
He was also crazy about fast Driving.
He considered his Uttaradhikari to Pt. Jasraj.
In search of Guru, he worked as a servant also.
His album was released at the age of 20 years.

I pay my tribute to Panditji and hope ... milega sur mera tumhara to sur banega hamara.

Pandit Bhimsen Gururaj Joshi (February 4, 1922 - January 24, 2011) was an Indian vocalist in the Hindustani classical tradition. A member of the Kirana Gharana (school), he is renowned for the khayal form of singing, as well as for his popular renditions of devotional music (bhajans and abhangs). He is the most recent recipient of the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, awarded in 2008.
